Georgia's PM finalizes his new cabinet

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has confirmed the appointment of 12 ministers, completing the formation of the new government following the Georgian Dream's electoral victory last month.
The Prime Minister emphasized the upcoming presidential election on December 14, underlining Georgia's commitment to democracy.
He noted that, under new constitutional rules, the president will no longer be elected by direct vote; instead, an electoral college of 300 members will be established by the Central Election Commission to select the president.
Kobakhidze affirmed that all constitutional bodies will be staffed according to the will of the majority of the Georgian people after the election.
This restructuring reflects a significant shift in the electoral process, aiming to enhance political stability amid ongoing reforms.
The formation of the new cabinet signifies a pivotal moment in Georgian politics as the nation moves forward with its democratic processes.
